Amos George Montague D`arcy Morley
« on: Monday 05 February 07 17:20 GMT (UK) »
Hello just wondered if anyone has come across this name in their search, i know he married in 1936 in Paddington. He married a Margaret Mary Murphy and had a son Peter Napier Morley. We think he may have been born 1910 but not sure. We are trying to do our family tree but have very little info to go on, any help will be gratefully recieved.
Thanks Wendy.

Hi
George was my wife's grandfather. We would be interested in any other information about him or the family tree. We also believe the marriage was annulled but the reason is a family mystery- can anyone shed any light?
Thanks
Martin

Welcome Martin :)

It looks as though the couple may have had a first son who died in infancy - is that known about? (NB you'd need to dig deeper to find out whether this child was indeed a son of your couple).

Barry N Morley, mother's maiden name Murphy, birth registered Mar qtr 1936 Paddington 1a 111.

Death registration: Barry N Morley aged 0, Sep qtr 1936 Paddington 1a 42.

Added: I see that their marriage was not until Sep qtr 1936, so if Barry was their son he was born pre-marriage.

That's interesting. No I don't think the family do know about Barry. I thought Peter was also born in Aug 1936? He was born a prem and survived against the odds

Do you know what date the marriage was annulled and why?

Did George re-marry and have other children?

Peter was brought up with his grandmother in Ireland

Margaret continued to live in London until her death

Do you know w
