Hi Annie,
Yes that was what I meant when I said he was very young to be a married man at 20 when he enlisted that is If the Joan listed was wife.
If she is Mother then we have the wrong person because you told us that his mother was Edith

As to NAA not displaying order form. I think we could either ask Prue M if she knows anything or email the first email address you come across on NAA and ask what's going on.

Annie, are you OK navigating round and into the site apart from the difficulties of the ordering?

I have ordered digitised copies and yes it use to be simple.  Can't find the facility - there is a reference to digitising projects - perhaps they no longer take requests.  There was a reference to the number of requests one could make annually but that is also gone.  It would seem the only option is to purchase.

From home page>search records>as a guest>
enter in 'keywords'  eric avery>[nothing else]>search>>display items.

About 5 or 6 entries come up for the name and 2 of them are the one of your interest.
What you see there is all that is available without further contact.

For a summary of the same record
the ww2 nominal roll site [given above] brings up 'enter name'
do that then click on Eric William to see his enlistment vitals
hope this helps.
