Anyone live in Bantry?

Hi, if anyone out there lives in the Bantry area could you tell me if Harrington was a common name  in the area and how many catholic churches there are that would have been in use in 1800?

Hi there!

There are LOADS of Harringtons in the Bantry and Beara regions!

Check out http://www.catholicireland.net/parishes/parishbycounty.php

this will direct you to all the churches in the area.  Try Bantry, rosmacowen Allihies, Ardgroom, Cahermore, Castletownbere, Eyries to name but a few :)

There is also a Church of Ireland Church in Castletownbere as far as I know.
