Wartime occupations
« on: Tuesday 23 November 04 09:28 GMT (UK) »
For quite a while I was puzzled why I couldn't find any reference to any of my West Yorkshire family members going off to WW2.  Someone recently has just pointed out to me the really obvious fact that they were all miners, and mining would have been one of those important occupations that meant they didn't have to go to war.
