1841/1861 census lookup please

looking for Benjamin Pickton/picton born 1824 strand? London.
In 1851 he is living in Hastings, Sussex with wife Ellen, and Children Thomas, Elizabeth and Ellen. I cant find him in London in 1841, 1861 or 1871 but is is in London in 1881 onwards.

Hi tinkertinker,

I have had a look at the family in 1851.  It looks, to me, that Benjamin was born in Hackney.  The thirteen year-old was also born in Hackney, and the four year-old in Stepney.  Only the baby was born in Hastings, so East London seems the most likely place to look.
