After several years thoroughly researching the names on the Sudbury Memorials, Shirley Smith (assisted by Val Herbert) have put their findings on a web site.

Lots of familiar Sudbury Suffolk names of young men who gave their lives.

Well worth a look  ;)

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham 
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale
 
GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?

It's a brilliant web site and has taken Shirley a while making sure her research is correct.

I heard this morning that she is now working on the WWII names on the Memorial.

As I am working on the Little Waldingfield War memorial I am happy to listen to Shirley  :D

By the way - she also came second in the Adult Tap Dancing with a newly formed Dance Group at the Sudbury Festival of Dance this week  ;D
