Hi Maggie,

The names I am looking for are Robert Steele possibly died 1940's as did his wife Lizzie Steele.  Also looking for their son Edward who died a young man. Edward was born abt 1893 I believe he died in his teens. Also Lizzie Greer died 25/08/1917 Ballyconnelly.

Its a possible long shot that you may have their graves as I don't know when the  "Old Graveyard" opened or closed nor do I know where the above are buried.

But thank you Maggie and well done on the photographs, good luck sorting them out!!

Civil registrations show Death which might be your Edward: Edward STEELE  Jan./Mar.1917 Ballymena registration district (age 23) volume 1 page 71
There was also a possible birth registration.

Thanks aghadowey,

That looks like him,  I know from the 1901 census they used the e at the end of Steele, but on the 1911 census it was omitted.

Now to discover where he is buried.................

Thanks again

Hi Pat

I found two graves in the Old Churchyard, Ahogill. Nancy Greer of Craignageeragh 18th Jan 1832 aged 54, her husband Samuel Greer 6th Jan 1848 aged 74.  Also Archibald Hannah ....Samuel Greer's name is marked on this grave.  It is very old and I cannot yet make out the death date, but can send you photos of same if you think these graves maybe related to your search.  I will keep an eye out for your names in other local graveyards.  Greer would be one of the names I am interested in also.

I`m also looking for a grave in the Aghoghill Cemetery..

Nancy Thompson (nee Andrew(s))
Wife of Thomas Thompson

Mother of Anne, John, Thomas, James, Elizabeth, Andrew, Henry and Sarah Jane.

All of the children and her husband came to Canada in the late 1870-80`s.
She did not come with them.

Thomas and Nancy were married in 1852.  Thomas was born in 1822.
Nancy would have died after 1871 (when Sarah & Henry would have been born) and before the family left for Canada.

Thank you.

To Maggieblue and others,

I am looking for Presbyterian members of the McCauley (Macaulay) family who  would have also
been buried in one of the Ahoghill cemeteries.  If you should run across this name in any of your
searches I would really appreciate obtaining the information.  With many thanks, Paul
