Bloavezh mat - simply Happy Year. As you see from the Happy Christmas one sees the link between the old British languages, Welsh, Cornish, Breton. I was an evacuee in Wales and a man who fought in the first World War told me that he heard Breton troops singing the melody of Sospan Bach and with similar wording. Now I don't know how true that was as 20 years later I heard of a Welsh regiment in the Napoleonic Wars encountering a  Breton regiment singing --- you've guessed it 8)

In Germany, Santa Claus is also called the "Weihnachtsmann" - the Christmas Man.

Hence this joke, where the child is saying:

Mummy, Daddy, look , it's the Normal Man !!
