Gooch 1891 census

Hi

I am seaching for my great great great grandmother Harriet. She was born c1821 in Rockland Norfolk.
I found her in the 1881 census with her second husband Stephen Gooch. He was also born in Norfolk c1847. One of Harriet's daughter's, Eliza, was living with them at New Rd Chesterfield Derbyshire.
Could someone please have a look at the 1891 census to see if any of them were still in Derbyshire at this time. Thanks,

Hi Patrish

Thank you very much for that. It certainly looks as though it's them. In the 1881 census Stephen is a Basket Maker and Eliza is a Dressmaker.
The strangest thing I've noticed is their ages. In 1881 they've been put down as, Stephen age 34 and  Harriet age 53!

Thats the trouble  Mary you cant trust the census's as they can change from year to year,    that why I always post if it looks a close match, sometimes it works as in your case.

How right you are!

I was looking for Harriet's first husband's death under the name of Edward Seppings (as in the Census) and it turned out that his proper name was Edwin.

Just goes to show, never believe all you read in census's.

its a long time since you posted this question, try and look at the history of the Rodney Yard I write about, that's where your Relations stayed, they sure did travel far, I put a photo up of the Rodney Yard that's on the internet click on the link and you will see where they stayed
