WOW!  You do know your stuff. I'm well impressed.

I don't understand the West Wales connection (work maybe?).  I did come up with some Neath connections ages ago but dismissed it.

Sorry I just realised I wrongly wrote about Gwendoline and Helina.  I have no knowledge of either.  I was mixing them up with Stephen's children, my grandad's sisters.  They were great aunts  Flo and Hettie.

That's brilliant thank you.  I'd love to know of the Palmer family.

There's absolutely loads of photos of the Mills family.  I don't know who has them now.  I'll have to ask my aunty.

By the way.  A woman wrote an article in the Cardiff Post some years ago.  She said she remembered Stephen as the fireman.  All the kids used to sing a song called  "Here comes Captain Mills"  This would have been in the 1920's

Your friend's father William Henry Hodder would be my Granddad's cousin.  He was Albert Clifford Mills, born 1894.  He died in Grangetown, Cardiff in 1963 when I was 7 but I remember him well.

I've tried to post 2 photos but it looks as though it's been disabled here.

Hello - I believe I am the Great Great Great Grandson of the George Mills you are looking for. My string of the family stayed in Cardiff and are still there today, although the Mills name has sadly disappeared from our string because Leonard Arthur Mills (my Grandfather and George's Great Grandson) had four daughters, all of whom married.

According to our records, George and Elizabeth had a son called William R.G. Mills (circa 1860), who had a son - Arthur Leonard Mills (circa 1890) , who had a son - Leonard Arthur Mills, who had a daughter - Linda Joyce Mills (1952), my Mum. :)
