I would like to find/confirm the parents of Albert Hodder (b. Chard, 03 February,1852)

Albert married  Elizabeth Lucretia Lucas 1872 Hereford.

 Albert's father believed to be George Hodder, b. abt. 1830 : mother unknown.

By 1871, Albert had left home and was lodging in Frome with Lucy & Elizabeth Humphries .. he was a Printer Compositer

In 1871, Albert's future bride was a Visitor in the household of Elizabeth Howell, a Widowed Dressmaker of 58, Green Street Hereford. Miss Lucas was 21, born in Hereford St Peter .... also a dressmaker

Albert was indeed a printer.  He used to go off to Leeds for the Christmas card season.  Unfortunately he reportedly died accidentally after drinking a couple (?) of beers and falling out of a rocking chair.  I guess Elizabeth wasn't too pleased....
