Messages posted to the boards with the exception (I think) of the Lighter side and The even Lighter side count towards your ranking ...... The more you contribute the more your ranking goes up.

Dear Himself,

(Do I detect a hint of celtic humour here?)

The number of stars you have goes up with the number of posts you make, except those on the Lighter Side boards do not count.  Back in June I used to be first a pioneer, then an extra.  Now look at me, a veteran - is this what being a rootschatter does for me. :o

Have a look at this thread - the answer is in there somewhere, but have a good laugh while you are about it.

By the way, what greenish badge?

Nell

I think himself means the little green light that indicates you are online!

Hello Himself,
Don't worry about being a "spare part"  I think it's a far better than being  a Noble! :P(Aristocrat)- My  ancestors would be turning in their little  potatoes patches if they knew one of their descendants was a Noble ;D.

Not sure what you mean about the blue badge. The little boxes against the persons title/name turn green when they are online and they are clear/white when the person is off line. Read your thread when you're not logged in, the green box will be no more.
Or do you mean the blue coloured stars under some of the names (like Little Nell's above)? If so, they are the Moderators .The rest of us have to put up with a sickly yellowish green colour ( I prefer much brighter colours myself, such as polka dot, fluorescent orange )
Kind regards :)

He has went from an "Extra" to a "Pensioner" in one giant leap.
