Wicklow Birth - Hanly
« on: Tuesday 20 March 07 14:26 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I have found a birth for Michael Hanly on FamilySearch, he is the eldest child of a distant grandparent and the only Irish born child of Patrick Hanly and Mary Ann Mcgrady. On the English census' they all only give their birth place as Ireland so this is a bit of a breakthrough. Im unable to find any other reference to them in Ireland and i have looked on the Wicklow FHS site and its a lot of money to be paying out for something that may only tell me what i already know.

Any help with this would be greatfully recieved!

Many thanks Rory, unfortunately i dont think any of those are mine. i havent been able to go back past Patrick Hanley born 1847 (Michael's father) so i have  no idea of parents.

thanks very much for looking though, hopefully if i manage to get back to patricks parents that may be of use

Hi lensgirl, is this the info you have for Michael?

Michael Hanly
5 March 1868
999, Annamoe
Wicklow
Son of Patrick Hanly and Mary Anne Mc Grady

I will have a look to see if I can find a marriage for Patrick and Mary, it might help. I can't find a birth for Patrick though.

Regards
Kate.
