The LATE Walter Atkinson Bird - Rotherham COMPLETED

Hi folks!

Bit of a plea here - is there an easy way to find the deaths of people? I know that this chap died AFTER 1901 and BEFORE 1984, simply because he doesn't show up in the searches on the Ancestry site. However, I've also trawled all the quarterly pages of the regsiters for the years in between, which suggest to me that I've clearly missed him. And I haven't got the stamina to try them again!!

Here's what I know ...

WALTER ATKINSON BIRD
1876[/b] Birth registered June quarter, Patrington, volume 9d page 293
1881 census: living in Blackwell Road, Easington in Patrington (RG11/4786 Folio: 13 Page: 6) **Wrongly enumerated as Walter E. Bird **
1891 census: living at 7, Buckingham Street, Hull (RG12/3925 Folio: 103 Page: 30)
1898 married Annie Taylor in September quarter, Sculcoates, volume 9d page 294
1901 census: living at 64 Willow Lane, Rotherham, Yorks. (RG13/4397 folio 23 page 38)

... all of which leads me to believe that he's in the Rotherham/Shefield area somewhere.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

do you know if they had any children?  You know to maybe follow their marriages and see if he shows up as being deceased or not.

A thought if nothing else.

Thanks for the response.

Yes; there was a daughter - Rosabell, named after Walter's mother - born in 1900 in Patrington, although she is down as Rose in the BMD. She is correctly named Rosabell Bird in the 1901 census for Rotherham (see previous post for reference numbers)

I haven't looked for marriage, as again, it will involve 'trawling', something I spent ALL Sunday doing.
