Hi
Ive just found one of my ancestors Polly Tallon on the 1901 Census as been a general domestic servant at 31 Main Street Kirkby Lonsdale.(She is listed as Polly Tullon)
What im trying to decypher is the name of the Hotel which it was it is Green-------Hotel

I cannot decypher the missing words but have an idea it was Green Dragon which is now the Snooty Fox.
Has anyone got a trade directory that could confirm the name of the hotel.

www.historicaldirectories.org has Westmorland Kelly's directory etc online, it was the Green Dragon, I just looked at 1906, but they have others, proprietor then was John Wilman

Members of the WILMAN family are also licencees in 1871, 1881 and 1891 - the 1871 & 1891 names it as the "Green Dragon Hotel" & "Green Dragon Inn" respectively. (The 1881 has no name entered for it)
