An excellent course to enrol on, but you must be very commited and have more than 15 hours (I would say more than that!) a week spare to study.

Jen :)

Hi Jen

Thanks for that info and web address - I did hear about it from other sources a long time ago, but then forgot about it - but not this time.
It will supplement the Open University  Course (DA301) and the Sussex University 'Local History' Courses I have successfully completed in the past.
Thanks again Jen

If you cannot spare the time for this course , try your local college
I have just completed a 20 week course  , 3 hours once a week on Family history/genelaogy, and it was the best money I have spent.
Very enthuiastic and knowledgable tutor  and also 19 others on the course , at all stages of tracing their family history.
We had visits to the lds and the main records office in our area, really useful when you are a beginner

WE all helped each other  and found out lots of interesting and different
websites etc,

well worth doing.

Hi Welsh Jen

Was wondering if you actually did this course, or do you know of anyone that did?

Would appreciate some feedback / help on content of the course.

Dear Chris, just viewed your posting some time ago!, so sorry if I did not reply. I do not know how I missed this, but I did not appear to have responded (unless it was via instant messaging).
Do you still want more information on this course? & Yes I did do the Advanced Diploma in Local History via the internet. The closing date for the next one is in July.

Regards :D
