Mathias Census 1851/61/71

I've located a Levi Mathias in the 1881 census. Born abt 1842 Pembrokshire.
In 1881 was with wife Eliza and three sons: William, John and Levi at 38 Miers Street Swansea.

I wondered if someone would be so kind enough look through the records above it may give me an indication of where to start looking for his father.

Have found (looks like) your Levi in 1861 as a servant -can find no trace in 1851 -will trawl through census now

Do you have the marriage cert for levi -that would give his father's name and narrow down the search.
With their being 3 levis b.so close together, without some certificate information it will be difficult to decide which is the correct Levi

Thanks for both for the information. I've sent for Levi and Eliza's marriage certificate today. Just thought I'd try and get a little further. I'm doing the research for my father in Law's birthday - which is in a couple days. His side of the family has been quite easy as there's a famous ex Lord Mayor of Leeds in there. His wife's side in Wales is proving to be a little more difficult.

This looks like your Levi in 1871 -and giving his p.o.b. as Narberth -so maybe he is the "other" Narberth birth reg ??
