Hi Cando,
Yes this family is all over the place.

Mariona found the marriage of Clara in NZ
Quote
Clara Ida Eichler married Frederick George Ackerman
in New Zealand in 1923 #5012
Mariona

Clara died in 1925 in Victoria so she didn't stay too long in NZ.  Not sure if Frederick George ACKERMAN was NZ or AUST born.

Death
EICHLER Augusta
Father August BARTHOLOMEWS August  Mother Henrette RATT
At Sea Lake   77 years  1916  Reg#12205

Having trouble sorting where the death above belongs.   That would be Augusta EICHLER nee BARTHOLOMEWS.   Her father August and mother Henrette BARTHOLOMEWS nee RATT.
Have I got that right?

Thanks for the other Milich births Cando.

Sashar   :)

Thanks again Mariona.   It seems that branch of the family may have settled in New Zealand.
Is it possible to find anything further for the Milich children Emma b. 1902, Bertha b. 1904 and Carl b. 1908?   Possible marriages, children, deaths etc?

Back to the EICHLER branch and possibly in Victoria, could I have a check for the deaths of:-
Theodor George August EICHLER born 1862 SA (wife of Emma Auguste Milich).
and their eldest son:-
Berthold Theodore EICHLER born 1889 Victoria.

Everyone's help has been great,
Thanks,
Sashar   :)

Sashar you may find this link helpful  :)

EICHLER Gustav
Parents unknown
At Nhill  38 years  1899  Reg#10769

Will try and find their son later...evening meal needs attention.

Cheers

Thanks Cando,
I will try that NZ link, thankyou.

Quite possibly that is my Eichler.   He was August but probably known as Gus.    Could have been a guess by person recording the death that he was Gustav.

I will have lots to double check on TROVE now.  ;)

Tummy rumblings here as well.

Thanks for everyone's help, much more info than I expected.

To save anyone searching further - I have found leads on the NZ site that Cando recommended.   They in turn have led me to find lots more information on the Eichler and Milich families in New Zealand including War Records, Family Histories and even a marriage in the UK.

I'm pretty sure Berthold Theodore Eichler's death would be in NZ.   He married there in 1922 and had 12 children.   Hopefully he lived to a ripe old age and that is why a more recent death record cannot be found.   NZ deaths finish 1962.

The family along with other relatives, moved to NZ in 1901.

I'll continue searching the net and get back if I need anything specific.

Thankyou all for your help tracing this family over such a vast area.

Regards,
Sashar  :)

Thanks Mariona,

I'm not very cluey on NZ places so that has saved me quite a lot of searching time.

I see Bert's wife and daughter are also buried there as well as Julia Milich.

Your help is much appreciated,
Sashar  :)

How are you both so I'm reading this and am really curious how far back I can track my family. I'm the great grandson of berthold Theodore eichler. My grandad is Roger 1 of his 12 children. My mother is shona eichler. Please let me know if there is something more to know
