WOW Matt you have been busy for me and I am awestruck with your findings, a lot to take in and try and figure just who is who here.

Death of Anthony Conning and three sons John  James and Anthony all died young and Anthonys wife Mary Mathews also died the same year as Anthony, how sad for her.
Grd Agnes Isabella Dickson I did not know about  and I am assuming she is the daughter of Agnes and James M Dickson, who married Liverpool 1856 with a bit of dubious name changes on the marriage cert, I presume Agnes covering up her previous marriage. do you have a date for her death??

The last bit (West Side) will take a bit of explaining as I do not have those names at all and can't follow the relationship.
Cowper was the name of my gt grandmother Jane Wilson Lloyd before marriage and her father was Robert but after 1841 he is elusive and married ? to Agnes Janes mother.
Jane Wilson Lloyd died India 1876 and her husband five years later.

Thanks Matt this all gives me a new look see for this family and I will follow these leads.

Thanks Matt,
It looks like it stayed in the Conning Family, I just need to find out who they are who owned it after Anthony's death.

I have discovered that James M Dickson was delivering Palm Oil to the UK Liverpool from Africa
I have found the baptism on familysearch for his daughter Agnes Isabella Dickson giving her birth date as 10th Aug 1856.

Exciting times as this side of my research has remained dormant for some time.

Hello Matt,

It is hard trying to follow this message, but I do know about Palm Oil as I personally was employed for many years refining the oil myself in Liverpool after an equal opps struggle in an Edible Oil Refinery in the 80s now closed down

I will have to re read the thread tomorrow

Thank you
