Hi Everyone,
This has probably been flagged up on here before, but today I spent a few hours at The Guildhall Library looking various things up.  One resource that I was impressed with was images of certain places in the City of London, in particular Rosemary Lane and The Minories.  Drawings, maps, plans, artist's impressions of buildings...
I think there are 24,000 images on the site, which is:

Just thought I'd also mention that the man who was the vicar at St Botolph's without Aldgate between the 1770's and the 1790's deserves a medal for posterity, as all the baptisms have the address of the parents written down after their names - not the sort of thing that the IGI provides!  Gives a wonderful idea of the community who supported their local church...
Very best wishes,
keith
