Keesa,

Have you looked at the Essex Record Office database? There's a least two references to Samuel.
Type the surname here.

Hi I see a few years ago you were trying to find info on Sam Crackenthorp from Colchester. I have a document here for a mortgage I think for this gentleman and his wife Catherine. It's in mint condition and dated 1785. It's about 5 pages all beautifully handwritten. I bought it from an antique centre as I live near Colchester and I thought it was lovely.

Hello Miryam
I am tracing the Crakanthorpe family having recently discovered that I am descended from Samuel and Catherine. I should be very interested to see the mortgage document that you have if that is at all possible.
I look forward to hearing from you.

There's quite a lot about Crakanthorp/Crakanthorpe/Crakenthorp in TNA Discovery and Seax, particulary in Bocking and Colchester. These include two mortgages with Samual Crakanthorp of Colchester in 1791.

The wills from TNA can be downloaded for free if you are signed in (also free). Seax requires a subscription.

Hi Oliver,
Are you the original poster, as you have a different name?
I have the actual mortgage deeds here if you wanted to see them. I just wanted to know if you have any connection to the original person who put the post out.
