Any date for this and a clean up please.

A photo of my nana (grandmother) if you are not from the north. She was born in 1893 I think this is a photo of her at school in South Hylton, Sunderland. However do not know the year. Can anyone tell me why the boy on the top right of the picture is facing the complete opposite way to the rest of the class ???

Hello Mercel,

At a guess the picture was taken about 1897.

The boy might be about to sit down or being a boy , just being a little so and so !    ;D

If you can re-scan the picture , you will get a better one back,  and don't forget to crop it , for easier viewing  .

Is there any way we can sharpen up the image and get rid of the spots in the background?

It looks very like one I have of my Gran- taken circa 1890.
