Names Interest - BARNES
« on: Monday 09 April 07 12:44 BST (UK) »
Am interested to hear from anyone regarding the Barnes family.  My great grandfather was William Wallace Barnes born in Birmingham in 1890.  He married Sarah Gittins in Stourbridge in 1912.  William committed suicide in approx 1958.  His father and grandfather all lived in the Birmingham area but my information on them is limited.

Looking forward to hearing from any rellies soon!.

In 1861, William's Mother Mary has her unmarried sister with them - so her maiden name is Price ...

.... and Williams middle name is shown to be John.

Dont want to steal your thunder if you really wanted to do this yourself - but its straightforward before 1891, and a further generation is revealed in 1851 - John's father - also a John - a Gilder ....

(John Jnr already a Glass Blower in 1851)

Thanks for your input Newfy.    I have searched back a bit but it's always helpful to have another indpendent set of eyes having a quick glance too to make sure you're on the right track.
