Richard MARTIN of Penzance
« on: Saturday 14 April 07 14:54 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to trace Richard MARTIN (no details at all).  He had 2 daughters:

Mary MARTIN (born Penzance 22 Nov 1812 and died 2 Nov 1859)
Sally Perry MARTIN (born Penzance 1811)

Mary emigrated to South Africa in 1859.  She was married to Enoch Warren James UREN.  I have all their details.

I am trying to find Richard MARTIN's wife, his parents, any siblings he had and also trying to find any other children he may have had, besides the above two.

I would be grateful for some help.

Thanks
CP

Thanks so much for that information.  I have been checking Richard Martin's till they were coming out my ears. LOL.  Didn't find those you listed.  The one with Mary and Sally Martin looks promising though.  I will certainly look into that now.  Thanks so much.  Will also check the others you gave me.

What or where is Boyds Index?

Hugs

the marriage is also on the Cornish Marriage Index so looks good. There's a wonderful system of online parish clerks in Cornwall, although the one for Gulval is unavailable at the moment.  :(

http://www.cornwall-opc.org/Par_new/parishes.php

also, the Federation of Family History Societies has a good amount of Cornish parish records - you pay by credit card and then small sums are deducted from your credit when you look at the results of searches, not for searching itself.
