Hi

If you look on www.familysearch.org for the marriage of George Findon - it has a marriage for George Florence to Susanna Findon in Claverdon on 11 october 2007, this entry is extracted from the parish register.

Whereas I notice that the other marriage at preston bagot is submitted by a member of the lds church. Which explains why the RO couldn't find the marriage, the LDS members can guess a date and place of marriage and enter the info!! Not really very good when you are trying to find facts......

Hello both
Yes Lemon it's Claverdon 11/10/1791 and as you say it's from the PR as where the other is a member submit.I just don't know where some LDS members get their info. from. They must have some very odd family trees.
Glenda I would email the RO again and ask for another lookup.

Jim & Belgium bird,

It would make life much easier if the LDS would make any member submitting actually quote where the info came from e.g. family bible, a guess or if it was non conformist, etc - this would then at least give others a chance of either finding the info or knowing it was possibly a red herring!!

Hello, I am also looking for information on the families of George Florence and Susannah Findon. They are my 5th great grandparents and my Grandma has been looking for their information for some time. I was wondering if this initial search ever yielded any results. We can't find if George was born in Preston Baggot or where his family was from. We have no information on his parents.
We do know that Susannah Findon was born to William Findon and Esther Thibatts in Claverdon.

Thank you so much for any help you can give.
Mandie
