Brasher or Brazier, Wallingford
« on: Thursday 03 May 07 17:08 BST (UK) »
Frederick Uriah Brasher/Brazier was born 1816 Wallingford. He subsequently married a lady named Mary Ann who was born 1813 in Abingdon, but I've been all over the Abingdon PR's and cannot find the marriage. Would SKS look at Wallingford PRs for me to see if his marriage or birth is there? Many thanks.

Hi

I notice from the 1841 & 1851 that all children were born after 1837.   A copy of one of their birth certs will give you Mary Ann's maiden name

Here's the marriage:-

St Leonards, Wallingford    May 8 1837  Banns

Frederick Uriah Brasher bach otp
Mary Green  x  sp  otp

Witnesses: David Barzillar Brasher, Elizabeth Brasher.

They did like their strange middle names, didn't they!   ;)

Many thanks Jill (it's me, Keebleancestors under a new account!) Yes, they really did. Biblical characters apparently, I looked them up.
