So perhaps the DIRECT line to the desk officer who would deal with the application, without going via the MOD operator would be useful?

Thank you so much for the info. I have already downloaded his medal card which is great progress today ( as I'm off sick !)

I've scanned 2 of the best photos but they are too big    >:(  so I'll have to wait for my son to downsize them a little before i can send them but i will ! :)
