Limer Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent
« on: Saturday 04 December 04 21:14 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I have just started to delve into my maternal line, and wondered if there was anyone out there who has any Limers in their tree?  Most Limers seem to be spelt with a 'y' so I guess I could end up down that road.  Any Limers out there??!!!

Cheers.......Kim

Hi Kim

I have Limers/Lymers:

John Limer married Elizabeth? around 1857.
in 1871 were spelt Limer and living in Hanley.
Children Sarah Ann c1860
               James c1862
              Henry T c1871
              Elizabeth c1876.

After 1871 they seem to change to Lymer.  Sarah Ann is my great great grandmother and she married William S Booth in Burslem, 1884.

If any of these match yours, let me know!

Sam
