Wareside - Ingletts Hall & Tatling Cottages
« on: Friday 18 May 07 15:44 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Anyone heard of Tatling Cottages and Ingletts Hall, located in Wareside ?

My ggg grandfather inherited these premises circa. 1828, I have tried to do some research via Google but can't find anything.

Thanks

Anna

Hi Anna

Ingletts House is still there and is at Babbs Green close to the junction with Bakers End Lane, there seems to be a computer company there at the moment and Tatlin Cottages appear to be on the same further to the south.  If I have time at the weekend, and the weather is kind, I'll pop out and get a couple of pictures for you with my new digital camera.

If you want to know where they are on a map go to Streetmap.co.uk and Ingletts House is at SG12 7RR and Tatlin Cottages at SG12 7RP, so virtually next to each other.

Hi Anthony,

How is life with you?

Thanks for the info, I googled Babbs Green and found some photos circa. 1955

Hi Anna

I'm fine thanks, looking forward to wet bank holiday weekend though!

Had an hour or so last night and popped up to Wareside for a look and found Tatlin cottages and think I've also found Ingletts House although it may well be under a different name at the moment.

Weather doesnt look too good this weekend and I'm supposed to be away for most of it (hmm a wet weekend on the coast, lovely!) so it may well have to be next week sometime before I can get pictures.

Still if you make it over in late June for THE meeting, I will be able to show you  ::)

Regards

Anthony
