William PEASE c.1759 - 1834
« on: Saturday 19 May 07 09:40 BST (UK) »
I have not been able to find William's christening, parents or siblings.

I know he married Hannah Whitehead on 19 June 1786 at Westbury, Bucks.
He was from Padbury, Bucks per Banns of Marriage.

He was buried at Westbury on 27 November 1834.

Would like to push the family tree further back.

The NBI has him as aged 69. I can have a look when I next go to the RO.

I would appreciate any help, Manchester is a long way from Aylesbury.  I have been to the RO myself but not in a long time.

His descendants are widely scattered over England, plus Australia, America and South Africa.

Hi
I've looked on Phillimores and found your William as William Peas!, your marriage date is correct but there is also an entry for a Richard Peas and Mary Bedden mar. 29 12 1814 in Westbury - perhaps a son?

Regards
Steph

Yes, Richard Pease was the son of William Pease and Hannah Whitehead.

He died at the Union Workhouse, Brackley on 11 March 1857 and was burried at Westbury on 14 March 1857.

Mary, his wife, died on 17 May 1854 of "Visitation on God" aged 84 years.

I understand that Visitation of God was used to explain an unknown cause of death, so it is reasonable to assume she was a healty 84 year old.

Thank you for taking the trouble to check for me.
