How would i know which church they went to? would they still have like protestants and catholic churches in those days?

 cant make a link from 'Hatfield Woodhouse' exactly, but this may be him ... only Jacob in a +/- 5 year period anyways ...

Get that Marriage Cert to confirm the Father's name

You wont need to if you get that 1841 entry showing Jacob's parents and siblings .....

LIVED IN:england

YEAR RANGE : 1840 - 1850

basically, altho you will need to use wildcards to sort out the mis-spellings.

You can type in the info I gave above to get to the actual 1841 census page w/o having to worry about name spellings.

You might find the family in Parish Registers on Familysearch ..
