okay so if i go to ancestry . co.uk  and type in

FIRST NAME:Jacob      LAST NAME: jenkins

LIVED IN:england

YEAR RANGE : 1840 - 1850

basically, altho you will need to use wildcards to sort out the mis-spellings.

You can type in the info I gave above to get to the actual 1841 census page w/o having to worry about name spellings.

You might find the family in Parish Registers on Familysearch ..
