Hi Deb

Information on Inquests and surviving Herts newspaper archives are located at HALS.

I see that you are located in Australia, so if no one can help you with a HALS lookup, you may need to use HALS generous research service.

What is the name of your ancestor in case someone is able to help you?

Rick :)

Hi Deb,

I enqired at HALS today and was informed that details of the Redbourn Inquest have not been deposited with them  and that Inquest Reports are not openly available to members of the public, such documents being closed for 100 years.
Looks like a date for your 2011 diary.

Regards  ...   Peter

Hi Debry

As a direct descendant, you may be able to bypas the 100 year rule. But you may need to get a signed permission from any surviving older generation family member.

Write to the Hertfordshire coroners office.
