1861:
RG9; Piece: 1144; Folio: 85; Page: 8
(?)Hair Common, Norton

Joseph Blomfield - Head - 32 - Labourer Ag - Norton
Ellen Blomfield - Wife - 27 - Pakenham
Emma Blomfield - Dau - 6 - Scholar - Norton
Mary Blomfield - Dau - 4 - Scholar - Norton
Elizabeth Blomfield - Dau - 10 mo - Norton

1851:
HO107; Piece: 1794; Folio: 180; Page: 15
Hunston Rd, Norton

Michael Bloomfield - Head - 52 - Ag Lab - Norton
Joseph Bloomfield - Son - 21 - Ag Lab - Norton
Michael Bloomfield - Son - 18 - Ag Lab - Norton
Osbourne Bloomfield - Son - Ag Lab - Norton
Betsy Bloomfield - Dau - 14 - Housekeeper - Norton
Mark Bloomfield - Son - 11 - Norton

The above family looks the most likely in 1851, although Norton is FULL of Blo(o)mfields.....  ::)

This is the same family in 1841, but on this census there's another Joseph born around the same time, so you would need his marriage cert to confirm it's the right family!

HO107; Piece 1014; Folio: 8; Page: 8
The Heath, Norton

Michael Bloomfield - 40 - Ag Lab
Mary Bloomfield - 40
Joseph Bloomfield - 12
William Bloomfield - 10
Osborn Bloomfield - 6
Elizabeth Bloomfield - 4
Mark Bloomfield - 1

Hi,
I am currently researching this branch - has anyone since come up with further info?

I've got back as far as William Blomfield & Elizabeth (nee Barnes?) with kids all born Norton:-
John 1761, Lydia 1767, Mary 1759, Sarah 1758, Elizabeth 1756 & William 1764-1841

William 1764 m Susannah King
son Michael 1798 m Mary Freyes
son Joseph 1829 m Ellen Bray b Pakenham

family went from Norton to Elmswell

Does anyone know what the maiden name was for Eliza who married Charles b 1862 - he was the son of Joseph.

Many thanks
de Blunvil, Blomville. Blomvyle, Blomfield, Bloomfield, Gotterson, Tuck, de Burgh,
