My gtgrandad the Carman
« on: Monday 25 June 07 14:11 BST (UK) »
I am new to Rootschat but after seeing the restored photos I wonder if someone could remove the line where the photo has been broken?  I believe it's my gtgrandad who was a carman in Kent.
Thanks in anticipation
Roy

Roy,
Its a beautiful photograph, due to the amount of detail we need to recreate across the damage, is  it possible to rescan the photo at 600dpi resolution it gives is more to play with and i'm sure we can repair it!   :D
Cazza has a scanning tutorial at the top of board  if you are unsure of how to change the resolution.

thanks and welcome to the board

Hi Roy,

Marvelous photo. It's nearly 50 years since I worked with one of these carts.

Will do some more pixel work tomorrow. Have the shed wall size.

Best regards George

Scan at 300 plus for restores please. Scan at larger dpi for small photos. Don't forget to crop the scanner bed out! (Them's the white bits)
Please feel free to alter any work by me for the benefit of the Poster.
