Hello Maria
In the 1891 census Clara is a servant in a large household in Tonbridge. She is a housemaid.  In the same household is a footman William G Pearson aged 22.
Then Free BMD has this

Marriages Sep 1891

Collins  Clara    Tunbridge  2a 1179
Pearson  William George     Tunbridge  2a 1179

Sabin  Mary Vera     Tunbridge  2a 1179
Wilcock  Willie Edwin     Tunbridge  2a 1179

Seems likely that Clara married William but I will check the 1901 census.

This is the most likely marriage given the Registration District

Marriages Jun 1881

COLLINS  Harriette    Thanet  2a 1347
CURLING  Abigail     Thanet  2a 1347
Goulden  George     Thanet  2a 1347
Mortley  George Stephen     Thanet  2a 1347

The marriage between Harriette and George Goulden appears on the Kent BMD site http://extranet3.kent.gov.uk/sp/rois/home.html
The date of the marriage is 17 April 1881.

However - I have not been able to find this couple in 1891

hello

With regards to a marriage in 1881.
It would make Harriet only 12/13 years old (if the dates of her birth from bmd-a birth reg in Dec 1868 and census1881 are both correct)

I have looked and can't find her. I cannot find a death, or a marriage and remarriage. A bit of a mystery.
Her sister Clara who married 1891, lived in Folkestone for the birth of the first child and then moved to Malpas, Cheshire for 1901 census.
I wonder if Harriet is near her sister?

regards Jane

Hello Jane
Thank you for realising that the dates did not fit.  Explains why I could not find the "couple" in 1891.
I will have a  further look for Harriet.

Well, I have found Harriet in 1891 transcribed as Harvest Collins  ???
She is a servant in Maidstone in the household of George Freder?, a magistrate.  Ref RG12  689 f 100
Will see if I can trace her further.
