Mark Egan born c1854 in Tuam

My great grandfather was born in Tuam about 1954. His Father was Michael who in 1876 was a Butcher in Tuam
I would love to trace more about both Mark and his Father Michael but dont know where to start.
How can I trace Marks precise birth or even baptism details and more info on his parents / siblings?
Marks Marriage cert (Sheffield 1876) shows his name as Hagen but I am assuming this was an error
Any suggestions as to where I should look would be appreciated.
(I have just registered with the Tuam website and am awaithing confirmation)

Do you mean Great grandfather was born 1854? You only give his first name as Mark no surname.

You can loan the parish register for Tuam from you local LDS Library for a cost of £2.70 for a month.

Apologies - yes My Great Grandfather Mark Egan was born in 1854 per the subject heading.

Thanks for advice on the Parish Register - will try and do this
