Wells family in Derbyshire.

Can anyone interested in the Wells family please contact me.  My Gt Grandfather Thomas Wells, died at "The Grove" Shardlow.   This was in 1945, he was born in 1858.   As Thomas was previously living in Birmingham, I am puzzled to why he was in Derbyshire.

His address in Derbyshire is given as Aston-upon-Trent.
His death was registered by his Grandaughter
(C.O.K.Wells)  her address is given as "Hensol" Derby Road, Aston upon Trent.

If any kind soul can help me, I would be very grateful.

     WELLS Edwin of Eckington, worked a coal pit on James French's land.
Sank 2 gin pits in 1838.
      WELLS Joseph built Eckington Hall 1871-2. Born Oct. 3rd 1816, died
Oct. 6th 1873.
      WELLS J. and G. and Co. Colliery Proprietor's, Moor Hole Pit and
Holbrook, employing 500 men and boys, 1850-86 period.
      WELLS Mrs. of Eckington Hall, Mosbrough. Laid foundation stone of
church building on Aug. 14th 1886 for which she and several of her children
had subscribed.
