COMPLETED March parish register lookup - MEDLOCK

If anyone has access to the March transcript (I have the CDrom but I seem to have damaged it as it won't start!) I'd be very grateful for a lookup for

William MEDLOCK who in censuses in Kings Lynn claims to have been born in March in 1790-4.

Is there any trace of a baptism and are there any other Medlocks at around that time

Thanks very much Frances. It's a step in the right direction. I'm hoping their parents were John and Ann Medlock who married in Ramsey Hunts (12 miles away) in 1790.

I have version 1 of the Baptism Index which I think must be basically the same information as the online index, as it only covers 1801-37. I assume your later version doesn't have parent details, at least for the pre 1801 entries, which makes it nowhere near as useful?

Bit miffed about my March disk, which I used to do a look up in April, and it hasn't worked since. I needed it originally to research a couple of families, and this is the first time since that I've needed it for my own tree, so I can't justify the cost (even the reduced price that Cambs FHS has offered for a replacement) for such limited use.

I have version 2 of the Baptism Index, it only gives names, year and in this case March Parish Records.

All the other Medlock entries should be covered by online index, ( except for one in 1900) yours are the only ones earlier.

Brilliant; thanks very much Gallium and Frances. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I'm slowly piecing these together - two born in March, two in Whittlesey, same parents, the key is that all ended up in Kings Lynn with two more Medlock families from Biggleswade Beds, who were probably brothers of John the father! All I need now is to find two more children who were born in Ramsey and who also were in Kings Lynn at census time.
