HI Mrs C,

The burial plot records for St David Churchyard are lost!! Have you looked at the entries in the Parish records for St Davids. The recorder has occasionally put an identification of the plot position in the margin by some of the burial entries.

If you want to find out where parish records are, check the parish page on Genuki. It's usually the county record office and/or the National Library for parishes in Wales.

Hi Mrs C,

Microfilmed copies of the Parish Register are at Powys Archives in Llandrindod Wells, Powys and at the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth. I've used the ones at Powys Archives. Do you live in the UK?

Hi Jan,
Here is the Powys Archives link http://www.powys.gov.uk/index.php?id=647

Make sure you phone to book a place at their microfilm reader. it is a small building with limited resources, but they are very helpful. During the phone call, they will ask you what you want to view so that they can ensure all is available for you. Opening hours are on the website

Where did your Roberts family live, Jan? I have Jones family connections with Llanwrtyd and burials in St Davids.

hi cochiaid,i have e/mailed the powys archives yesterday and they have replied to me today, they say the parish records do not tell where the people are actually buried in the plots.my roberts family ran the cambrian woollen mill in the town from 1880-1916.enoch,rebecca,and their family: austin, elizabeth (who married a jones),llewellyn, ernest and hartley my husbands grandfather.we had been talking to bryn jones (the mayor of llanwrtyd)who gave us a lot of info regarding the mill and its working.what connections do you have in the town? jan.
