WALSHAM, Ely, Cambridge, All Dates

All references you may come across and interests in the WALSHAM family of Ely and surrounding areas more than welcome. My particular branch begins up to now with Charles Walsham born 1813 Ely and Mary (possibly Johnson), a descendant James Robert born 1846 Ely  married in Liverpool and was a Professor of music, story goes that he played in Ely Cathedral.

Hi Yoz,

George Walsham b. c. 1806 was my 3x great grandfather.  I'm not sure where he was born but he married Rebecca Wilkinson in Ely in 1821.

They went on to have 5 children, all born in Ely.

I'm not sure what George did as a profession as he was dead before 1841. His widow was variously a launderess, seamstress and bible woman.

I have more info if you are interested and info of other Walsham's from Ely too - including your Charles! I just haven't been able to confirm a relationship yet.
