John Henry William Williams BIRTH *COMPLETED*
« on: Saturday 14 July 07 12:59 BST (UK) »
Can anyone please find a birth or baptism record for John Henry William Williams b 1855 in Birmingham?
I'm trying to find his parents, but there are so many John Williams on FreeBMD, the IGI site, 1861 census etc. that I can't tell which one is mine.
I suspect that the third and sometimes second given names are omitted in some of these records for space reasons, or that they were never recorded in the first place.
In the first identifiable record I can find he is already married.
Gooch and Semmens in Essex (pre 1870) and London (post 1850)
Ayling and Tilley in London
Williams in Newcastle-u-Lyme (pre 1830) and later in Birmingham
Thomas and White in Middlesex (pre 1840)
Patton, Finlay, Shaw and Dunbar in Ballymena area

Have you found him for certain on any single census return  ???

If so please post the reference so we can take a look.  :)

If he has children there are very often clues in thier names as to the grandparents . Also sons often had the same occupation as thier fathers.

I've found him in the 1881 census when he was already married and living in London at 142 Balls Pond Road.
Class: RG11; Piece: 262; Folio: 108; Page: 42; Line:  ;.
His occupation was Milk Carrier.

There is a possible sighting in the 1871 census, but the address, Birkenhead, is in the wrong direction from where he ended up 10 years later. These people could be his parents and infant sister, but I've no evidence one way or another.
Class: RG10; Piece: 3745; Folio: 1; Page: 2; .

He and his family can be found in the 1901 census living in Stoke Newington
Class: RG13; Piece: 208; Folio: 56; Page: 38.

Finally his marriage to Amelia Anna Thomas in  Dec quarter 1877  can be found on FreeBMD
