Wow thank you Gaffy! where did you find that record? Was there a image of it?

I’ve been searching for so long for Mary Ann, I am almost certain that will be her since the dates and names all match up and because Teevan is quite a rare surname.

It was just a transcription, frustratingly I can't see a civil birth record - assuming birth was shortly before baptism and albeit that registration had just begun and I imagine there was a significant gap in uptake - and I can't see other children for a couple with those names (or variants), or a marriage.

Given the location (ie. the proximity of Roundwood and Knockadreet), I imagine you could be right  about Patrick and Elizabeth being connected to John and Elizabeth.

Which website are you using to find the records?

I know when Mary Ann married in Scotland in 1884 at the age of 20, her mother recorded as "Bessie" Teeven was recorded as being deceased, I wonder if there is a death record for her in Ireland between the years 1864 and 1884 as I can't seem to find any mention of her in Scotland.

could it be that her death may have been recorded under her married name of McInrue? (or a variant of that name since it seems to be spelt so many different ways)
