Mary Meredith b.1812 Prestiegne to Thomas-Elizabeth M.

Married 1834 to William Turner Kingsland Here,
.
Children:Thomas-Mary-Lewis all bapt.Kingsland.
           
Wlm and Mary had moved to Dudley Worcs. by 1851

Could someone please find the two families in 1841?

Is there anyone out there who may be connected?

I would guess they would   be around Kingsland, Herefordshire at the time of the 1841 Census.

But there is  this entry in the 1841 Radnor census
Hundred of Llanbedr Painscastle
Parish of Glasbury
Reference: HO107:1456: ED 6 & 7

TURNER, William, 40, Ag. Lab., Y, Bridgend, f8/p7
TURNER, Margaret, 30,  Y, Bridgend, f8/p7
TURNER, Margaret, 6,  Y, Bridgend, f8/p7
(Y signifies born in  Radnorshire)

Appreciate this is a very old post but I have only just picked up on this site.

My Second great grandfather was Thomas Harris from Presteigne and based on his marriage record his father was Samuel Harris who was a blacksmith.

I find a Thomas Harris  in Presteigne in 1851  living with his Grandmother Elizabeth Meredith.

In the 1851 Census I also find Samuel Harris, Blacksmith married to Martha and then a marriage in 1826 in Presetigne between Samel Harris and Martha Meredith.

This has convinced me that Martha Meredith was my third great grandmother. I would be interested to learn more about the Merediths.

I have quite a lot about the Harris's coming forward in time as Thomas moved to Stourbridge and then Worcester which was my home town.

The blacksmith link is interesting as the Merediths were ironfounders. The book mentioned above is the useful tool for all this.

I have been trying to find a copy of the book but without luck so far. I will post a message to Kington Museum and see if they can help unless perhaps you have an alternative idea ?
