I got a marriage certificate from York recently. The addresses given above don't look familiar, but if I recall correctly I got it from the York FHS website. The people there were very helpful - I got a phone call expressing concern that the certificate would be difficult to read and how could they help. In actual fact, whilst the image of the record on the page behind was visible, the entries were far from impossible to read. Made me feel more inclined to go there for further certificates.
