Is there a psychologist in the house?
« on: Wednesday 01 August 07 06:06 BST (UK) »
Hi all  ;D

I know many of you are suffering from the same thing I am .... total dedication to the finding of dead people, the  unravelling of their lives and wanting to meet them and ask questions .....

Not only am I absorbed in my own family's past , I am intriqued with helping others find their people  ;D

I am addicted !  ;D :D :) I love it !!! I find it hard to get away from the computer once I am involved with a 'search' ..... eg : I run upstairs to make beds and run back down hoping I have a Rootschat reply in my mail  :o (one day  found myself in my Pj's at 3pm ....I ran around like a mad thing, trying to defrost something for dinner and spraying 'freshener ' all over the place to make it seem like I had been cleaning all day LOL)

I need to know that I am kind of ' normal' and not some loony, crazy woman  LOL  ::)

The only reassurance I can give you is that you are no worse than the rest of us here...  ;)

I know how you feel Deb
My husband goes away occasionally, work related, and I can't wait for him to go. Sounds terrible doesn't it?
Then I get to stay on the computer all day and half the night.

I am very much the same.  I have lost whole days, weeks in fact sat infront of the computer searching.  Of course this was easy when I was expecting my youngest.  Now she's here I doubt she would recognise me without a lap top on my lap and a folder of brith marriage and cdeath certificates sat next to me.

Psst Deb:  Get a slow cooker or a crock pot.  Then all you have to do to make dinner is chuck all the ingredients in in the morning and leave it to cook all day.  Looks as if you've been slaving away in the kitchen most of the day.  ;)
