Family trace
« on: Saturday 04 August 07 21:31 BST (UK) »
William Albert Titterrell was born 9th March St. Olave in 1904  Married a Rose Gaiter probably around 1924 onwards.   Had three children, William, Stanley and Rosie.   He was my Uncle but have never met him or any of the children.   Does anyone happen to know of possible whereabouts of children ?    Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you Suzard for the Titterrell details.   I firmly believe you are right as the Mother shown as Geater is much like the name I remember as a kid as Gaiter.   Will send for Certs as you state which will give more info to get into.     Very Interesting as that was the only relative of my Mother where I had never had any contact.      Having done as much as I can on my Paternal side I branched out to Mum's which proved most interesting.
Once again, many thanks

  Hi Rastus.....

I have in my tree two male Titterrell's who marry sisters.

  Florence Liscoe marries Alfred J Titterrell b 1911...in 1930
Her sister Alice marries Thomas( have now lost details I had.

They are the sisters of my grandfather.

Boys parents were...Walter Ernest Titterrell & Rose Elizabeth Lewis.

   1901 lists sons as Walter age 1 & Ernest 4 months.  RG13/391 F98 P84.

Anything seem to be relevent to your Titterrrell's?

Hello Tazzie,  Thanks for the info on the Titterrells.    I have a Walter born 1880 whose Father was Thomas born 30.1o/1836.    He was a Brother of my Great Grandfather Edward 1840.    I do not have any details of the two mentioned by you n or of any offspring.   Would love to find one who I could share information.   Do you have anynews that would enable me to get in contact with relatives?   Details of our line go back to a Lambert Titterrell buried 1773 in Theydon Bois (Essex.    Kind Regards   Rastus

  Hi Rastus.....

I have Walter Ernest as b Q3 1879 in Greenwich London.
In 1881 a 1 year old Walter appears as the son of Thomas Titterrell at Reculver Rd Deptford (RG11/0707 F106 P 32). Thomas was a hatter. It does link the two families as Thomas was b 1836 son of Charles Thomas & Mary Ann.
A Lambert Titterrell appears on Old Bailey website as well. so another branch but I haven't had any contact with any cousins of my fathers for years now...not since his aunties both died.

I will let you know if I find anthing relevent.

              Bye

Hello Tizzie,

Thanks for message.   Yes there is a connection and in fact for the record nearly all the Titterrells of the mid 1800,s were in the Hat Trade.     Stopped with my Grandfather though !!, He was born 1862 m 1882.
According to records I was given some years ago Thomas(1836) and Lucretia Eliz.Walkden had 13 children but not all lived..   The lady who gave me that information was connected  through one of those children.
Once again many thanks.

Unsure whether you are still on this website but I had a Nanny Rose (Titterall) that had 3 children (from first marriage ) Billy Stan and Rose that the dates do seem to match up
