Tilney Fen End/St John/Tilney st Lawrence
« on: Monday 06 August 07 22:12 BST (UK) »
Hi
Does anyone know if there was a pub called The Plough
a few yards away from a Chapel at Tilney  Fen End   St John's this would have been in the early 1900s.We recently visited  Tiley St Lawrence but  think we was a little off cause.
Any help would be helpful for when we visit again

Hi Zena

If you had gone to Terrington St John, and turned right in the village if your coming from Wisbech end of Terrington St John, it would have took you straight to St Johns Fen End. Is this the place your looking for

Hi Ricky
Thank you very much for your time thats brilliant.
Also thanks for photo's ,like you say it doesn't look much like a pub now. This was were my gt /gt Grandfather was lodging in the  late 1800s.
We will have to go to the village again next time we are over that way.
Is there a museum close by?

Thanks again Ricky

  Zena :D

Hi Ricky
Thanks for that. We owe you a drink. Maybe in one of the locals, when we are next down that way.

Thanks

Hi Zena

The gentleman that I have been talking to says he is going to look to see if he has a photo of it amongst his postcards of Wisbech, will let you know if he finds anything
