henry sydney owen
« on: Sunday 19 August 07 16:58 BST (UK) »
My father was Henry Sydney Owen born in 1919 at I think looks like Truvalchimai, Anglesey, his father was Howell Sydney Owen general labourer from looks like Rallt Truvalchimai. His mother was Kate Laura Owen nee Jones on his birth certificate the area relates to west Anglesey in the sub district of looks like Bryngwran. Does any of this relate to anyone? thanks Stoop

Good evening Welsh lady, thank you for your response. I am now trying to make sense of the information you have sent. I can see that my great grandmother was born on Anglesey ,it looks as if my great grandfather could have been born in Widnes. When I look at the birthplaces of nearly all the children including Howell Sydney being born in Widnes I wonder how he returned to Anglesey and married Kate Laura Jones they went on to have the following children Dick ,henry, Mary, Vera, Dillice, Morris, Alwyn who died when she was little, Wally, and Marion. My father was born on Anglesey ,Iwonder his siblings were born ,because my father said the family went to live in Blaneaufestiniog and he also mentioned a dam bursting in the area, sorry about all this Iam trying to think and type thank you oce again for your help regards stoop.

Well looks like the family moved back there after Elizabeth was widowed as Howells living with his Mother in Anglesey in the 1901 census i put above.Assume the family had moved away to work originally.

Also Harry had sisters Betty & Joyce, who alongside Alwyn also died as children, another remaining brother Eric who is very much alive states that your cousin Edwin has been digging at the roots of the family tree and may be able to provide you with further information of interest. Hope I am speaking to either R or D?

Hello,

William Richard Owen was my grandfather, Howell Owen and Kate Owen were my great grandparents.  William was always known as Dick.

Just trying to find out more info, as we moved to Canada in 1981.
