I am looking Ann Kyle  who married James McClinton 5th April 1832. Stoneykirk she was born Kirkcolm when  ??(1841 Census aged 20yrs)  11yrs old when married !!!! any help please.

It's not quite that bad  ;D

The 1841 used age rounding so that she could be 20-24 in 1841 or even 25 if she was born after June. Have you found them on the 1851 to verify or would you like a look up?

I think i have them on the 1851 living at Cabrach, Inch

James, 30, labourer
Ann, 32,
Elizabeth, 10
John, 8
William, 6
and twins Grace and Hannah, 4

all b. Stoneykirk

Are you sure their marriage was 1832?

However, by 1861 their dobs have changed so an 1832 marriage is more likely!

Thank you ,it looks  like the marriage of 1832 is right,I needed birth date as I am trying to find Anns parents any ideas!

I'm not sure what access you have to online records - census, etc. but I's follow them through on censuses and then, when they disappear, I'd look up their deaths.

However, just for you, I might have a look for her death now  ;D

Sorry for the delay. My poor wee Scottish PC is struggling to print a very large (but pretty) picture and view the death cert  :(

At some stage they moved to Govan.

Ann died 28 May 1890, aged 78, 6 Bronnyloan (?) Road, Govan, widow of James McClinton, shipyard labourer. Her parents were John Kyle, master mariner (dec) and Elizabeth, maiden surname Stewart (dec)
