« on: Friday 24 August 07 16:41 BST (UK) »
Hello

Could you please look-up for me in the 1861 census Thomas HAVARD born about 1804 with a wife named Margaret? They could be in the Huntington area.

Thank you so much~  :) Angel

Hiya Newf

The source of the info I have is the census data of Breconshire for 1851 & 1871.

Thomas & Margaret (nee LLOYD) married in Huntington and their son James was born there about 1833. I haven't been able to find them in Brecon for 1861 so thought I would try Margaret's home town of Huntington in Herefordshire .

It seems the family travelled all over the Hay-on-Wye district going from Radnor to Brecon to Hereford (and all 'round again).  ???

Thanks alot!  ;) Angel

In 1851 the family were in Llanigon, west of Hay on Wye.
Do you have the birth certificates of the children ?  I see Maragret was born in Brilley in 1838, this is the next village to Huntington which is a tiny village west of Kington, in Herefordshire, right on the border with Wales.

Yes, if you have access to more than an index, but there are also BMD certificates as well which could hold clues.
